The following 1 the size of virus is much smaller than bacteria ,so it can be seen by electronic microscope only ..2-The bacteria contain RNA and DNA together while virus contain RNA or DNA 3 -some of the bacteria are motile while no motility in virus 4 - virus and bacteria are different in reproduction methods , the virus reproducted by transcription while bacteria by many methods such as binary fission . Best regards ,,, Jawad Ali
The most common differences between bacteria and virus, that virus is obligate intercellular parasite , because it lack metabolic proprieties enable the simple form of life to live , it has only DNA or RNA , AND live only in living hosts , It is very small , the size ranged from 20-1000 nm, and it is structure is very simplest , composed from core ( nucleic acid ) and protein coat called capsid may covered by lipid layer called envelope , the virus more dangerous than bacteria and dont effect by antibiotic.
I am sure that you put this question to undesrstand what people know about virus and bacteria, because you are a teacher of virology. Now I am curious, how would you set aside the differences between these two beings.
A bacteria contains both DNA and RNA and can be a prebiotic, probiotics which ate beneficial or a tregular harmful bacteria mole spyrococcus. Bacillus is a probiotic. A harmful bactcan be treated with an antibiotic.a virus has only RNA or DNA as the host and a virus must take its natural course. It cannot be treated I think antibiotics
