Hi everyone, if I transfect a plasmid with a resistence gene (puromycin) via Lipofectamin (but not with a virus) into eukaryotic cells and select these cells with puromycin over some weeks is the plasmid then integrated into the genome? Is there a method available to determine at which position this plasmid is integrated into the chromosomes? If the plasmid is not integrated into the genome, is the plasmid amplified in eukaryotic cells? Best Andreas
