I am doing a simulation about metal nanotubes currently. Although I searched on the Internet for a while, I am still not sure what is the correct words to be used to represent the two surfaces of the nanotubes? I think the three options are 'internal, external', 'interior, exterior' and 'inner, outer'. I mean should I use 'internal surface of the nanotube' or 'interior surface of the nanotube' and so on. Could you please tell me which one is correct or to be the best choice?

Any help would be much appreciated!
