What is the better method for purifying microRNAs from human serum?

I am not sure for what time miRNAs remain stable in and what are the storage conditions and best method for high yeild

Dear Javaid,

I will split your question in 2 relative questions:

1/I think that you might purify total RNA including miRs with a dedicated kit but not use enriched mRs solution. It will fit more to the real world conditions. To increase your purification yield I will recommend to use a RNA carrier (glycogen for example) prior to RNA purification (just after precipitation phase).

Regarding storage conditions I will recommend to store a highly concentrated solution in elution buffer (TE 1x) but not in RNAse free water.

2/ As Shahin described previously, you can easily store either Serum or RNA elations for years @ -80°C.
