I recently harvested some of my tissue samples and stored them in RNA Later solution in the -80C fridge. Is that the correct way to store or will it cause RNA degradation? Please provide your insight.
I have compared RNA which was freshly extracted with that of RNA stored at -80°C for over a month in RNA later reagent and both of them had comparable concentration as well as purity. So, I don't think there will be any problem as long as you store it in -80°C.
