For example, if you want to learn to play basketball and become good at it, it is not going to be easy. It is going to be time consuming, frustrating but the process can be enjoyable, but not easy. Apply this to principle calculus or nuclear physics, the experience is going to be similar.

As far as my perception goes, we can learn easily, if we sit with our friends and discuss as a group. It will help us to understand the concepts very easily, if each one of our friends explain one point at a time.

I do not feel that learning is necessarily 'easy' - each person learns differently, and at a different rate. For me, I learn better by observing and 'doing' where ever possible, the alternative is repetition - either reading, or listening, and then summarizing what i have learnt in writing and diagrams - but that's just me.... everyone is different, and that's an important thing to remember.

At my age, you learn very quickly. That's very gratifying. But you quickly forget what you have learned. This is not as annoying as it used to be, because you also forget that you forgot something.
