Yes, it can but.... Through sensors and a complex programming logic. It will eventually take up the data from the actual point of event but it will not be understood if the complexity is too narrow. Simple tasks can be understood in a very limited space but not complex ones. With Data it can actually be fed and analyzed so that it will be compared and understood. This is good for complex and wide variety of responses.
