Hello! I want to know if there is a better way to detect the presence of a live attenuated vaccine in animal blood samples. We use the buffy coat fraction to extract the DNA and perform a PCR analysis to detect the genome of the vaccine (B. abortus RB51), but I still wonder if there is another (or better) way to do it (for example, extracting DNA from the whole blood sample).

Any recommendation?

Thank you!
