I bought RPMI 1640 from Biosera company.
when i put the flask in co2 incubator,medium turns yellow in short time,less than 1 hour
there is no bacterial contamination.
the cell growth is normal.but i could not trust indicator.i use flask with filter cap.
what is the best way to control the medium quality is ready to use?
how can i find and fix the problem?

I used to keep my medium in 4oC until I want to use it. When I am about to use it, I incubate it first in water bath around 37oC. If the medium turn yellow in the incubator maybe the CO2 concentration is too high. You might have to reduce the CO2 concentration by reducing the CO2 supply.

Karen's advice is a good one, you must look for that. In addition please do check if your medium has sodium bicarbonate or you need to supplement as in many a cases you need to add that to the medium which you buy. For that sake you may go to the product company's website and look into the details. If your CO2 incubator is working fine, this may be responsible for what you are facing.
