Speakers for most medical meetings are chosen based on relationships and not on teaching experience or research on the lecture topic. Speaker indexes and evaluations from previous meetings are often ignored for future meetings as well based on relationships. Does anyone know of any publication on the best way to choose the best true expert speaker on a given topic and not have the CME committee select based on relationships.
