For an upcomig experiment I would have to make use of approx. 10 000 frozen DNA/RNA samples in microtubes, or, if necessary, in well plates. I would have to thaw them gently, to extract approx. 1 µl and to add these amounts to other microtubes. That could also be done sequentially, i.e., there is no need that we have to have space for each well plate or so at the same time.

Now the handling of the frozen samples is quite challenging because of its dimensions.

Also if I would use one pipette tip per extraction it could get quite expensive.

Hence, I wanted to ask you whether you have any ideas which liquid handling platform/technology I could use for that purpose.

Also we could potentially use one pipette for each microtube or well in a well plate and to store it somewhere, when it is not used, and reuse it again, if necessary. Here, of course, we would have ensure that the pipette tip, when used, is not getting in contact with the liquid where we pool all extracts. Is such a device available? Or would you suggest something else for the sample extraction?
