No sulfur compounds into biodiesel, it is done with commonly soybean oil, or tallow or chicken and no sulfur compounds in such oils. Only diesel fuel derived from petroleum exists.

I used the ANTEK apparatus for determining the sulfur by fluorescence in the UV region. The results for diesel are within the range of reproducibility and the sulfur concentration obtained for diesel is close to the average reference concentration. Regarding oil, no reproducibility in the analysis, since the results were out of range, except for a measure. The analysis of products was performed successfully. 

There are sulfur compounds in biodiesel when you use feedstocks like poultry fat or brown grease.

We used ICP-OES with good accuracy and repeatability (from 1 ppm to 12000 ppm).

The problem with ICPOES that we have found at Chalmers is that many of the UV lines for sulfur are very short wavelength, make sure you purge out your machine well with argon before you try to measure sulfur.

Also ICPOES will not allow you to measure the different sulfur compounds, it will only give a sum of the sulfur content unless you couple chromatography to the ICPOES machine.
