1. Fluorescent microscopes have different filters used for different stains based different wavelengths.

2. You can choose filter on the basis of your stain or stain on the basis of the available filter.

3. Generally used stain are AO and EtBr.

4. You can go through some publication regarding this and you will get some clear ideas.

I have used Giemsa staining to visualise Leishmania parasites.

I have used Giemsa stain and it works very well and Nomarski (DIC) also, shows you a photo of each one. I took them
