I am preparing LULC maps consisting of water, settlement, agriculture, grassland, tea plantations and forest. After which I will run change detection for different years. I am finding an issue in separating out the tea plantation and forest cover classes. No matter how many training sites I use, there is always some mis-classification. Should I use some vegetation index like NDVI, threshold the different vegetation classes, mask them from the FCC image and then run supervised classification for the non-vegetation classes? After this I will mosaic the two images viz. NDVI classified image and sup. classified image.
