My reaction consist of 50ml of 1mM AgNO3 mixed with 10 ml of the bacterial supernatant, now I want to add PVP to prevent agglomeration and increase the zeta potential.
follow the literature or optimize your own if varying some method. Just screen out the best concentration, start using (Ligand to metal ratio) 100:1, then 10:1, then 1:1, after you screen a broad range just narrow it down to, say you got best results at 10:1, now use 8:1, 5:1 and 3:1 etc, just few reactions and you are there with best concentration :)

You need to test it. Start trying low concentrations: 0,1%, 0,5%, 1% (w/v) for example, and maybe go further to 2%. Adding PVP before or after the synthesis, shall also change the particle growing and dispersion. You should be careful, because PVP is also used for bacterial culture.
