Whenever you have to deal with the reviewers’ comments, you need to do so in a professional and objective manner. Discuss with your co-authors before you respond to the reviewers’ comment. If you and your co-authors agree with the reviewers’ comment, then you should go ahead and perform the experiment confirming the protein expression of p-Erk, c-Myc, Dicer-1 and BDNF by Western Blot. thanks a lot for your professional response. But, I do not want to add cost as I am self-funded and availability for the kits is difficult. I do not want to add more work on me in a professional response for the reviewer.

You may describe it as a perspective or a limitation for your research.

I already did those parameters by ELISA and reviewers need confirmation by Western analysis
