Tetrachloroethylene is classified as a Group2A carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It is probably carcinogenic to humans; it is a central nervous system depressant and can enter the body through dermal or respiratory exposure. Stay away from it if you can. Might try n-hexane, MTB/hexane, or DCM (methylene chloride). Careful, MTB is flammable.
