I am searching for information about the normal, or average, concentration of total protein in conditioned medium of different mesenchymal stem cells. Do you know were can I find this? I quantify the total proteins of conditioned medium from adipose stem cells (collect after 48 hours and concentrated 10x) and I would like to compare the results with the literature. Thanks!

There is very little information available on protein concentration in conditioned media post 48 hrs. treatment. As per my experience in adult stem cells. I have got around 500ug/ml of protein and the concentration varies in different cell types and is context dependent like the no. of seeded cells, cell proliferation, incubation time etc. In my case, I did concentration of conditioned media to 10X then I isolated protein by methanol chloroform method and dissolved this protein in 200ul PBS. Finally I got a concentration of around 400-500ug/ml. This is a normal range for protein which can be isolated from stem cell conditioned media..

A gree with Ajay Kumar , and i add must be take in account that the differences in the use of BSA or FBSin your samples may affect your measures of total protein concentration .

Good point but the proteins that you purified is then denaturated by methanol/chlorophorm precipitation....
