What is the anatomy of nitrocellulose (NC) membrane ? Is it a kind of 3-D network with pores in between ? When we are blocking a nitro cellulose membrane, What are we actually doing ? Are we blocking the pores or the strands of the network? 

Can I immobilize a protein/antibody on the NC membrane after it is blocked with BSA previously ? What would happen if I do so ?

When I immobilize a protein/antibody on NC membrane and then block it with BSA, wont the BSA sit on the immobilized antibody ?

What actually happens on the NC membrane during the immobilization and blocking processes ?
