What is the mechanism involved in silver enhancing the color intensity of gold nano particles in a lateral flow assay ?
What is the reagent that we use for that ? Is it silver salt solution with a reducing agent ? Can this solution be made in our labs ?

For improving the sensitivity, silver enhancing step are generally used.The AuNPs bound on the flow strips can effectively catalyse the reduction of silver ions from the silver enhancer solutions you are using. The reduced Ag atoms deposited around the AuNPs core can form a gray, even black spot in the sample area, causing a strong light scattering effect that can be read with naked eyes.
I have seen paper that have used commercial Silver enhancer solution for this purpose. Maybe other ways can also be explored to synthesize a similar solution in labs.
