Ok now that I have a location I would not be surprised if it was Rhipicephalus tricuspis. That species seems fairly common on rabbits in the region but you should really try to get the key in "The Genus Rhipicephalus (Acari, Ixodidae) A Guide to the Brown Ticks of the World" by Walker et al.
Ixodidae (Family): Presence of Shell along the entire the dorsal idiosoma. Capituli visible dorsally. Festoons and later spiracular plates to the fourth pair of legs
Metastriata tick: posterior anal groove to the anal opening
Male: Shield (whitout designs) covering the whole back of idiosoma, Adanal plates present
Rhipicephalus (Rhipicephalus) sp .: coxae I bifidaone pair of Adanal plates, hexagonal 'basis Capituli'; spiracular plate with extension (like the comma).
To identify the species, more details are necessary.
