The ultimate aim is to dominate Planet Earth, protect our environment, and to benefit mankind in all human endeavor.
Research is a careful and detailed study into a specific problem, concern, or issue using the scientific method. It's the adult form of the science fair projects back in elementary school, where you try and learn something by performing an experiment. This is best accomplished by turning the issue into a question, with the intent of the research to answer the question.
Research can be about anything, and we hear about all different types of research in the news. Cancer research has 'Breakthrough Cancer-Killing Treatment Has No Side Effects in Mice,' and 'Baby Born with HIV Cured.' Each of these began with an issue or a problem (such as cancer or HIV), and they had a question, like, 'Does medication X reduce cancerous tissue or HIV infections?'
But all I've said so far is what research has done (sort of like saying baking leads to apple pie; it doesn't really tell you anything other than the two are connected). To begin researching something, you have to have a problem, concern, or issue that has turned into a question. These can come from observing the world, prior research, professional literature, or from peers. Research really begins with the right question, because your question must be answerable. Questions like, 'How can I cure cancer?' aren't really answerable with a study. It's too vague and not testable.
Having a question creates an internal state of 'I need to know something.' To continue the baking example, this internal state of wanting something is like having a hankering for apple pie. Since you are reading this in a psychology section, we will put a psychological slant on this, and hopefully lose some of the baking metaphors.
Research on humans is the application of the scientific method to studies for the purpose of "generating knowledge for future generations".
The individual study volunteer may or may not benefit from his or her participation in the research study. In fact, in a high risk study like developing a new study drug with a new mechanism of action or developing a new medical device with a new mechanism of action, the study participant may die, sustain a stroke, or suffer another severe adverse outcome without any compensation.

Research in the broadest sense - the search for new knowledge or a systematic investigation to establish facts. In a narrower sense, research is a scientific method of studying something.
Research is uncovering a hidden truth through systematic inquiry.
Research. I think is to find out or modify theories, and applications through the study of a subject. also, is the passion to discover and change through commitment and hard work.

Research is the mother of science (and technology). Research is about learning (deutero-learning) and science is about archiving/ categorizing that gained knowledge. To solve humankind's pressing problems by scientific research, we need a creative merger of classical (time-tested) wisdom and modern knowledge.

You must reinforce that message in every communication to your customers. That includes advertising, public relations, and sales aids.
It even includes your storefront and employees.
If you are an employee, work as if you were in business for yourself. That's because you are. Communicate your competitive advantage in your appearance, your resume and your interview. Once you've got the job, continuing communicating your advantage in your work performance.

My research in history requires me to check the claims of the present, which entails reading of authorities, searching, where possible, into original resources and weighing up changes in attitude, suppression of evidence in the past. I have at all times to be aware that truths, secular and religious, are contingent, not fixed, that the past may be very different from what is imagined.

My research into health industries and psychologies concerns itself with related ideas in the present, but also involves engagement with the past to discover the archaeology (Foucault) of such perceptions.
In the present I concern myself with the authenticity of psychological ideas, why they are believed, what effects treatments have, the viability of psychothropic drugs, etc. At times, I decide that we are being conned-but I still have to prove it.
Research is all about trying to explore the known things to know it better....

Research is a very general term. I do not know if there is any one short definition.
Right now find method to produce energy without making pollution and without making noise!
That would be the current purpose of "a research" project for humans.

Research is an entire process of investigation. An examination of a subject from different points of view. It’s not just a trip to the library to pick up a stack of materials, or picking the first five hits from a computer search. Research is a hunt for the truth. It is getting to know a subject by reading up on it, reflecting, playing with the ideas, choosing the areas that interest you and following up on them. Research is the way you educate yourself.
Generally, research is that it will lead to an original contribution to knowledge in a particular field of inquiry by defining, and then by answering or solving in a systematic way, an important question or problem.
A scientific research comprise many things including as a thinking new idea, discovering real life problems, experimentally do it or collecting data and finally give the structure for solving real life problems.
