Cost of wastewater treatment increase with the increase in quantity of wastewate and increase in pollution load. For better treatment and management it is important to have knowledge of per unit cost. In this regards if someone has conducted research, please share your views.
Fenton's reagent is a solution of hydrogen peroxide with ferrous iron as a catalyst that is used to oxidize contaminants or waste waters. Fenton's reagent can be used to destroy organic compounds such as trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene.

It's difficult to make an exact cost estimation, as this usually depends on a lot of (process specific) factor. As Vit Mateju indicated above, your cost is partially determined by the BOD5 / COD that you want after treatment, but it's also affected by the concentrations of the reagents (Fe2+ salt, H2O2 and acid) that you use.
The cost is dependent on the following,
Quantity of water you want to treat &
The desired COD & BOD reduction which will determine the amount of Fenton reagents you consume.
If you want to discharge the effluent after Fenton you will also have to neutralize it along with separate the sludge which will be generated.
Also consider the energy cost for the above process.
If we want to reduce BOD5 from 500 to 40 mg/L and COD from 1000 to 150 mg/L, what may be the estimated cost per litter?

Read a review papers on Fenton - some of them compare the costs.
Generally it depands on the purpose, pollution load etc.

According to my experience from full-scale operation of Fenton´s oxidation (using modified catalyst, treatment of groundwater contaminated with chemicals like anilines, phenols, chlorinated phenols, ...) the cost of chamicals in the Czech Republic would be in the range from 0.9 to 1.2 U.S dollars per m3 without operation costs for your wastewater.

It depends upon the extent of pollutant abatement i.e process efficiency. Further, the scale of operation also would alter the costs. Moreover, if you are using any source of iron (III), I mean crude source or refined then it will also affect the costs.

One means of doing this is by the unit cost of operation of degradation and the degrdation performance and evaluate it seperately. My research group did a unit cost of operation based on degradation performance, perhaps this can be of reference to you. Alternatively, another commonly used indices is EEO (Standard reporting of Electrical Energy per Order). This factors in the degradation performance as well as the volume treated. Although EEO is commonly used in UV-Fenton processes and electro-Fenton processes.
