Holistic approach learning style develops students to be critical, confident and work independently. It increases self exploration, learning retention and room for individuals differences among students.

Usually holistic approach takes care of aspirations of all stakeholders and satisfies their requirements. In the context of higher education, stakeholders are many - faculty, students, management (governing council), recruiters, community and government (both State and Central), parents, non-teaching staff, banks and financial institutions which offer higher education loans (and the list goes on, based on location and how the institution is built and run).

Each stakeholder has different set of expectations, whether in quality or value system or inputs or outcomes and tangible results.

What is the value-addition for student community? What is the usable knowledge and skill sets, the students are bringing into the recruiting company?

Well, the topic, in my opinion, is a mega-research project.

During the process of higher education holistic development of students that means personal, academic and professional all round development should be performed (Sanchez & Meng ,2015). Performing all these developments though the higher education system is called holistic approach to higher education.

No, I consider that the holistic approach in Hhigher Education is rather a methodological and epistemological conception for the analysis and general vision of how multiple processes promote personal development and how these processes are related and connected to each other forming a whole as system. In this case, "flexibility, multidisciplinary creativity, critical thinking, giving special attention to inculcating ethical , human and constitutional values" would be the emerging result of an appropriate holistic approach.

Dear Itishree Padhi To my opinion, its meaning will vary depending on the division, sub-division and context. For example, for technology adoption, holistic approach refers to educating, motivating and enhancing skill of end users through frontline demonstration, access to inputs and credits, and the like. A holistic approach for productivity enhancement will refer to integration of varietal, production and protection technology. Similarly, a holistic approach for varietal development involves integration of conventional, molecular, physiological and new genomic tools. Therefore, holistic approach focuses more towards methodological aspects. You have included so many aspects to holistic approach for quality higher education, that is perhaps impracticable. Therefore, I do not agree with your concept of holistic approach for higher education.

In my opinion it is not only that the student acquires certain skills and techniques for the work field, but also that he or she manages to be an exemplary citizen both ethically and morally. In this way, the university professional will be able to insert himself in the labor field and carry out his functions in a responsible, honest and socially and even environmentally meaningful way.

It is impacting the learner's with the right skills which is articulated well with the job market. Education should be based on necessary skills needed in the industry and therefore universities should work hand in hand with industries in preparation of the right curriculum to be offered to the learner's.

At the actual pandemic times and all the challenges that this time presents, is very important to include the active participation of students through social nets and during the learning process, obtain continuous feedback from them. This is part of Holistic vision that we must have in Education

I think that the universities in each career should have curricular subjects of ethical and moral formation, in this way they form citizens suitable for work and at the same time with enough ethical and moral values to perform in a society of mutual respect and honesty.

'Quality' and 'Integrity' in Higher Education must be instilled across every domain within the Institution. Compromising quality of education (examinations, research, publications etc) and other forms of scholarships will inevitably destroy the institution. Having Academics and other staff filling key roles but for the wrong reasons will also lead to the same..... I always believe that a country can be destroyed not by weapons/war, but by the collapse of their education system.

Holistic approach in higher education is about pluralism and inclusion. It is also about equity and equality for all the stakeholders. Though the quality enhancement is sometimes a single vertical in many institutions, holistic approach is more about organic growth by taking everyone together for the betterment of one and all.

Growth and development in the purticular subject

Availability, Integrity, Reliability, Quality, Affordability and Inclusiveness are key pillars of holistic approach in higher education. It should encourage multidisciplinary study and critical thinking to make learning more open,enjoyable, effective.

I agree on the highlighted points but I feel the the two key ingredients in present scenario are strong knowledge of ICT and qualitative and authentic research work will make holistic approach to higher education.
