I find one seed with two embryo in my intersectional hybrid seeds from trumpet (seedling) X Oriental Hybrid "Montezuma", both of them germinate in MS medium before the embryo abortion due to lack of endosperm. They have thin and hairy roots.
What can cause production of two embryos in one seed in intersectional hybridization?
Is it possible that they are both haploid seedlings?
I have to wait some years to see how these twin seedlings will look like.
It may two embryo sacs formed in one ovary. This phenomenon may be controlled genetically. For more evidence it is necessary to offspring analysis in next generations. In addition it may be a non-genetically disorder such as physiological problem.

Hallo Mohammad, I wonder if you had considered a polyembryony phenomenon? It is when additional (adventitious) embryos develop from synergids, antipodes (rarely) or from cells of integuments. Additional embryos may be haploids or diploids (depending on their origin), sometimes adventitious embryos may cause zygotic embryo abortion...
