Whilst Financial intelligence is the gathering of information about the financial affairs of a particular interest, to understand their nature and capabilities, as well as predict their intentions.

Financial literacy is understanding how someone makes, manages and invests money. It can also relate to how you spend this money.

Financial intelligence relates to behavioral finance in the main as well as financial engineering, while literacy beyond knowledge of using money for buying and selling into other financial application and investment using financial instruments and derivatives.

Behavioral biases in investment decision may present while the investor is qualified under financial literacy. However, financial intelligence may act as an instrument to minimize the effect of behavioral biases in investment decision. It is worthwhile that financial literacy precedes financial intelligence. From a research perspective, it deserves a thought how to get a construct for financial intelligence. Best wishes.

In my opinion Financial literacy focuses on concepts like saving and investing. A financially literate must be able to differentiate between an asset and liability, cash and profit, good debt and bad debt, etc. and should be confident of investing decisions and not depends much on others for such decisions. On the other hand, the Financial intelligence requires an understanding of the basics of financial measurement including the income statement, the balance sheet, and the cash flow statement. Financial intelligence includes the ability to calculate profitability, leverage, liquidity and efficiency ratios and understanding the meaning of the results. It also means being able to understand a business's financial results along with factors such as economic, the competitive environment, regulations and changing customer needs and expectations, new technologies and their impact of saving and investment decisions. It is not simply theoretical knowledge rather requires practice and real world application.

Financial literacy is all about awareness and financial intelligence is using this knowledge for better financial performance and results.

Financial Literacy is the basics if the subject. It is the minimum required for anyone.

financial Intelligence is the higher level knowledge of the subject.

Financial literacy is the ABC.

Financial literacy is all about the basic financial knowledge (savings; investment; purchasing behaviour; use of credit cards) that one would expect a financially literate person to have. This in turn guides the person attitude and financial behaviour. This is an area which has been widely researched.

“Literacy”, means “the ability to read and write”. Thus, “Financial Literacy” means the ability to read and write numbers and figures. “Intelligence” means “the ability to the understand situations”. So “Financial Intelligence” is means to interpret the numbers and figure out what they are telling us.

People may have the knowledge but do not have the intelligence. The spiritual wealth of man is intelligence and not the profit.

Financial Literacy is the combination of appropriate knowledge, skills, and financial decisions that are necessary to achieve one's own financial performance (Atkison and Messy, 2012).

We have to point out the difference between literacy and intelligence. Financial literacy is one's ability to understand financial data, while financial intelligence means understanding, analyzing, applying and responding to one's financial needs.

I think I misunderstood the word "intelligence". In my opinion, it means the inner culture of a person. And, financial scrutiny and research is the ability skills of financial analysis of course.
