1. I am doing transient analysis on heating of water. I want temperature of water varying with respect to time. So for that what settings I need to do in fluent solver/setup.
2. What is difference between time step and flow time?
In Fluent, the choice "Time step" would plot the number of time step on your x-axis, whereas "Flow time" would plot the real time (i.e., the number of the time step x length of time step). So if I got it right, you want to use the flow time for your plot. Anyway, since both quantities are closely related, it does not matter much which option you use if your time step is fixed. "Flow time" option becomes especially useful in case of adaptive time steps.
700W/m2 solar radiation heat flux is on cylinder containing water at initial temperature 300K. Cylinder is closed at both the ends and water is stationary in the cylinder. In this situation I need to find temperature variation with respect to time i.e. time from morning 10am to 1pm. I have to apply DO Radiation model to solve this problem
Please help me in getting the graph of temperature variation wrt time in fluent solver.
