I think the suitable method will also depend on the bacteria that you are going to test. However, the broth microdilution methods from The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute- CLSI ( https://clsi.org/meetings/ast/ ) and The European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing - EUCAST (http://www.eucast.org/ast_of_bacteria/mic_determination/ ) are the most accurate and acceptable methods for MIC determination.
Broth microdilution is the reference method for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of most aerobic bacteria.
i think the suitable method is micro-dilution method if the mount of your extract is small, but if you have not small amount .you can use macro-dilution method.
