Hello everyone,

I made low density lipoprotein (LDL) labeled with 1,1'-dioctadecyl-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-indocarbocyanine perchlorate (DiI) and prepared for macrophage like cells (P388D) for uptake. The results were a bit strange, as the LDL was internalized by the cells, while the DiI was stuck in the membrane. It seems that they dissociated at some point.

Any ideas what is/are the cause(s)?

Thank you in advance
