I have a sample of 60 participants. I have only one binary dependent variable and 8 independent variables with measurement scales. Could you let me know a technique for statistical analysis to apply?

I think multivariate regression is for more than one independent variable and more than one dependent variables. Isn’t it? So, here it cannot work!
What's the goal? Build a model for classification? Assess the association of the independent variables with the binary outcome?
Why can't a logistic regression be applied? With that few subjects and 8 independent variables, you may have problem doing too much in the way of multivariable techniques.

My objective is just to assess the association between independent variables with measurement scales and binary dependent variable. Can factor analysis work in this regard?
You may consider a logit or probit model, and consider the goodness of fit/coefficient significance etc.
