I have paired samples of bird communities in 11 mountain ranges during 2 time periods and want to compare Beta sim and beta sne. Thus there are 55 pairwise values in my matrix. Is that sufficient? The results seem a little odd and I may be expecting too much from sparse data.
The number55 is statistically large. There is no sufficiency of sample size.There is,however, adequacy of sample size as measured by KMO statistic.Further, adquecy is dertermined by capture of v ariations across several variables.Chi-Square statistic is used by signalling on the independence or otherwise of variables.Accptance of alternate hypothesis will lead to better KMO VALUE closer to one.
The test is used to examine whether the data is fine for conduting factor analysis.
