What is a procedure for conservation of water samples?

I need a guide for conservation of waste water samples in order to organize my probes, I usually use UNE-EN ISO 5667-3, but I would like to have one another guide (free access if possible).

I suggest USEPA SW-846, available on line at http://www.epa.gov/wastes/hazard/testmethods/sw846/online/index.htm. SW-846 is a comprehensive compilation of test methods and procedures for water, waste water, air, and soil. While their are thousands of pages, the document is well indexed. The initial chapters are on sampling and preservation while the later chapters are methods for specific analytes.
