This pump is single stage pump, including its anti-corrosion, and anti-freeze properties, elastomers, making them better suited for critical cooling applications It must be non-contact controlled leakage system for the shaft seals to ensure reliability to support long and continuous operation. For overhaul the reactor coolant pump seal some time robotic operation are used.
