before, i started writing papers i was naively thinking that journals pays for you if you publish your papers. i did not know that mostly it is just a business like anywhere else. where the higher the venue you choose. the more money you have to pay.
before i started writing papers i was thinking that all the authors who have been included in the papers must have make a significant contribution. but when i start dealing with my lecturer. and findings that all their concern is to get their name in my paper even if they did nothing. or not doing anything significant( and spend forever to do their small part).
before i started doing research i thought that lectures would do a research because they beleive it to be a part of human endeavor that eventually improve people life. But now i realizes that mostly, it is mostly done for the sake of improving their KPI(Key performance index). and in many cases, all their concern is to get their paper published even if no one would going to read it( because the topic is totally irrelevant). and to be honest, i found myself also doing that. i just try to get as much papers as possible even if it has no quality, just to increase my reputation as scholar.
What you wrote is right, but if you by this statement

means you yourself, you must know also the pitfalls and risks,
That is; we have two halls in sciences, "Science hall of fame" and "Science hall of shame"
Those who do crimes in sciences (that you mentioned some of them) will eventually and finally be hunted and caught by science whistleblowers. Know that nobody is immune from science peer review, specially "post publication peer review"

Rahim Alijani i have read your answer. and it is very chilling. i am undergraduate students who aspire to change the world by the research that i am doing. that is why i try as much as possible to choose topic that relevant to students and lecturer life. and i agree with you. doing research is not scare and hard. i did really struggle in my first article( because i did not have proper guidance since it was hard for many lecturer to take me seriously). but when i did it. i find that it is easy to do research and i was able to finish nearly 13 paper manuscript.
however in the process i meet many lecturer who as you said are not competent in doing research(even though in their profile they seem to have good number of research). and whom would harness any chance to add their name to any paper so they could get credit. thank you for your sharing.
