1. we root to get everything ready;

2. if we are not, we root to get there in time;

3. got a crazy review, wondering everyone's opinion about the our research;

4. feel a strong tension and doubt if it's all right;

5.... already we miss the rush and stress that any research cause!

I believe that research is a neverending activity. There's always more and more to be found, once you get started and once you develop the skill to know more and more on a particular subject. Research is a lifetime task, and it never ends, even after we do...

 If it is the retirement problem that is alluded to, it is a different answer for different

persons. Some continue to publish till they are 80, and some not. Or just do teaching.

It does take some psychological adjustment. Not that easy. Tirement and burnout may be a problem.

There usually is left some pile of unpublished work, perhaps some  you can hang on research gate.

I believe you can do both, retire, and also publish from time to time.

Engagement with a particular project may conclude for whatever reasons either on achievement of a set goal or untimely for various factors, but people networks would be live even after. Hence, keep in touch with familiar contacts and reminiscent later.
