Under the discussion of immunotherapy, antimicrobial peptides (AMP) are garnered ‘potentially effective’ therapy whether the bacteria is resistant to antimicrobial drugs or not, since they efficiently degrade the plasma membrane of the microorganism. However, since this method of therapy utilises an unstable form of AMP (cationic), what factors must be taken into account when performing this type of therapy?

I would not consider antimicrobial peptides to be immunotherapy. The location of this passage in the article is misleading.
There are at least 2 important problems with the use of antimicrobial peptides as therapy for bacterial infections. One problem is that in many cases they are subject to proteolytic degradation, which is presumably what the authors were referring to when stating "their stability is still an important concern."
The other big problem is toxicity.
