Amphibolites samples were obtained from tabular intrusive bodies emplaced in a Bt-Qz gneises Unit. Metabasalts samples were obtained from a metagabroic-metavolcanic levels included in a island arc Unit.
A negative Ce anomaly is always related to marine sediments?

Cerium anomalies are controlled by the oxygen fugacity. Under oxidizing conditions Ce (III) is transformed into the Ce(IV) state. In this context, those minerals that can accept only trivalent REE over tetravalent REE display a strong Ce-depletion resulting in a negative Ce anomaly in the PAAS- or chondrite normalized REE patterns (PAAS = Post Achaean Australian Shale).
Amphibolites and Ce anomalies interpreted in the way done by you would need to secure that it is a para-amphibolite (marl), what does not seem the case here. I would like to raise a stark warning to over-interpret a diagram like that without having an accurate database of what has geologically happened in the area.
A comparison of both REE patterns shows some similarities. This is correct. Before-hand you should deal with the geological and mineralogical similarities too.
