I personally would not trust this journal “Cultural Conflict and Integration journal”. First of all, I suspect that the publisher “Japan Bilingual Publishing Co” is somehow linked to “Bilingual Publishing Group” for a number of reasons:
-The lay-out of the website https://ojs.bilpub.com looks similar to http://apapa.apsci.sg (a website mentioning “Bilingual Publishing Group”)
-The papers look similar in terms of lay-out see for example
https://ojs.bilpub.com/index.php/upc/article/view/147/198 and
-The web addresses show some similarities as well bilpub and bilpubgroup
-Indeed, both “Bilingual Publishing Group” and “Japan Bilingual Publishing Co” are mentioned here http://apapa.apsci.sg/Member-Profile/
This is of importance since the “Bilingual Publishing Group” is a suspect publisher, see for example my replies here on RG https://www.researchgate.net/post/Forum_for_Linguistic_Studies
Anyway, even if they are somehow not linked then still, I see red flags:
-The indexing info here https://ojs.bilpub.com/index.php/nefm/Indexing_Archiving is to say the least misleading “New Environmentally-Friendly Materials (NEFM) is currently doing its best to have the journal indexed in databases all around the world. Such as: Google Scholar, CNKI Scholar, DOAJ, World of Science and Scopus, etc.”
-The editorial board of “Cultural Arts Research and Development” mentions Ronald Eyerman (in the meantime an emeritus professor) https://portal.research.lu.se/en/persons/ron-eyerman I doubt whether he is aware of being listed in their editorial board and not sure how the scope of this journal and his expertise match anyway
-Looking at your field of expertise ask yourself how this match with the scope of this journal “Cultural Conflict and Integration” https://ojs.bilpub.com/index.php/cci
Is the journal (or better the publisher behind it) predatory? Not 100% sure but personally I would avoid this one.
Dear Pr.Rob Keller , thanks for the reply. I also suspected it was a predatory journal. Especially since they invited me, while I am in the field of economics and business management. But what made me ask the question here and misled me was that I contacted Pr.Jack David Eller, a well-known researcher in his field (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=rfx9zXYAAAAJ&hl=en) , as I found him listed as an editor. He told me via his email, he is member, and it is a new journal. Also, he will work to make it credible, and that he joined through their invitation.
I have been asked to help review a few manuscripts each year. Additionally, they will allow me to publish two papers annually at no cost, using the gold open-access option.
