Thank you, it is a very interesting book, but it does not give us for their simple examples: method of deep resolution and explanation for mathematical and analytical formulation.

As an introduction to IgA, you can have a look at this book: https://www.wiley.com/en-us/Isogeometric+Analysis%3A+Toward+Integration+of+CAD+and+FEA-p-9780470748732. It is quite old, but the basics with splines etc. are covered quite nicely.
Regarding shells, I recommend the work of Josef Kiendl. In his PhD thesis, he also gave fundamentals of IgA:

Regarding beams, there are less references that I recommend. There is some work of Oliver Weeger

But some beam formulations are a little more complicated when they include the twisting of the beam

I, myself, studied the basics of IgA in my MSc. thesis work and applied this to a simple beam formulation. Looking back, it is not the most generic formulation, but it could help you. I also studied the shell formulation.
