What do you say about the following statements:
First, I was dying to finish my high school and start college, and then I was dying to finish college and start working, then I was dying to marry and have children, and then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could go back to work, but then i was dying to retire, and now I am dying ......, and suddenly I realized I forget to live!!
Please do not let this happen to you. Appreciate your current situation and enjoy each day.
Second, To make money we lose our health, and then to restore our health we lose our money....!!
Third, We live as if we are never going to die, and we die as if we never lived!!

These are challenging statements that regard a critical aspect of social life: balance.
The statements can be differentiated by for instance social class, religious/ spiritual points of view, and region as balance is perceived and experienced in own ways. I am afraid that these statements for example would not (entirely) apply to our tribal indigenous communities.

We need to plan, execute & reflect for each of the above steps. Reflection is important so that we can have sometimes to do some soul searching & fine tune our next step rather than blindly execute what we'd planned. Hopefully at the end of our life journey & look back we can have many fond memories on what we'd achieved.

We need to do the right things rather than doing the things right.
Third, We live as if we are never going to die, and we die as if we never lived!!
Everything should have the right mix so that we are not lopsided. E.g. work-life balance, time to save & time to spend, time to labor & time to rest, time to sad & time to happy etc. Hope every RG members can achieve their equilibrium.

Thank you so much for your kind words and reply. I think you are right 100%, so we have to remember ourselves always, I mean by the word "we" the academic researcher, they are forget themselves and some times forget to marry, just work, research, papers, conferences as I did. !!

Yes, all of us know what you say and understand it, but like a magnet attracts us to the same fate, just few years and retired. I always dream by a small garden where I can cultivate vegetables like in my childhood, but I know, it is just a dream :(

For every human beings our life is between the birth & the death where the death is not certain & not in our hand .For every individual although this basic fact is known but our life is not accepting the same in our working environment,in our family life with our children & this passage of time we all are realizing at the later stage & the it is to late as we have not prepared mind for the same & we remain sensitive for thinking of our last journey .
It is desirable that in order to make our journey comfortable we should start & make our living by remaining an observer of our life so that our final journey we may become fruitful .
Money is what money does . What money does is important & not money itself . It is my opinion that whatever the planning we are making , money remains as a part of destiny & the destiny is not in our hand. For thinking of money we should not forget that we are leaving our final journey with empty hands & as such to make our life happy we have to trend our mind for money in this line.
My views for third paragraph are self explanatory & as such i wish to remain silent .
