China already touches peak of International trade and becoming the world largest trading country. What is the real strategy behind One belt and one Road "OBOR". What are the short and long term benefits to host economies ??

Hong Kong (CNN)Spanning more than 68 countries and encompassing 4.4 billion people and up to 40% of the global GDP, China's One Belt, One Road project is not short on ambition.
Its boosters tout its massive economic promise and claim it could benefit the entire world and lift millions out of poverty.
But no one can say for sure what exactly the plan encompasses, and detractors warn it could be an expensive boondoggle at best or a massive expansion of Chinese imperial power at worst

Thank you for your participation Sir. Mushtaq Ahmed. If we talk about China-Pakistan Economic corridor (CPEC) then who will be the most benefited country Pakistan or China.
Despite this we have good relations with China since beginning but China exports everything to Pakistan then how we can handle our own domestic industry which is also in danger because of shortage of lots of resources.

Dear MSI: I believe that you need to think about this project in geopolitical sense too: a) where the funds for this initiative are coming from, b) what are the objectives of the project - not only in trade, c) you have made a very smart comment on Pakistan China relations think about the answer, look at the path of US China trade development and world dispute on free and fair trade (fair in economic meaning not foreign aid). My one sentence opinion is: China (the communist land) is smart, the capitalist world (especially liberals) is naive. Best AKP

and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road on 28 March 2015,
outlining the framework, key areas of co-operation and co-operation mechanisms
with regard to the Belt and Road Initiative.

China invites all the countries of the world to take part in this initiative, according to their own needs. It is not China which imposes the projects, but its partners make proposals. I believe in the Silk Road Spirit – "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit" –.

The ‘One Belt, One Road’ (OBOR) initiative is a Chinese economic and strategic agenda by which the two ends of Eurasia, as well as Africa and Oceania, are being more closely tied along two routes–one overland and one maritime. Supporters suggest that the initiative permits new infrastructure and economic aid to be provided to needy economies. Critics claim that it facilitates Chinese economic and strategic domination of the countries along these routes. OBOR provides a global context for China’s growing economic links with Australia.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI, or B&R[1]) is a global development strategy adopted by the Chinese government in 2013 involving infrastructure development and investments in nearly 70 countries and international organizations in Asia, Europe, and Africa.[2][3]
The leader of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, originally announced the strategy during official visits to Indonesia and Kazakhstan in 2013. "Belt" refers to the overland routes for road and rail transportation, called "the Silk Road Economic Belt"; whereas "road" refers to the sea routes or the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.[4]
Formerly known as One Belt One Road (OBOR) (Chinese: 一带一路, short for the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road (丝绸之路经济带和21世纪海上丝绸之路)[5]), it has been referred to as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) since 2016 when the Chinese government considered the emphasis on the word "one" was prone to misinterpretation.[6] However, "One Belt One Road" (一带一路) is still used in Chinese-language media.[7]
The Chinese government calls the initiative "a bid to enhance regional connectivity and embrace a brighter future".[8] Some observers see it as a push for Chinese dominance in global affairs with a China-centered trading network.[9][10] The project has a targeted completion date of 2049,[11] which coincides with the 100th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
