Have you ever felt that you are not going ahead in your research affair... how to get ride of that situation? would you change your field/topic of study? or take a new viewpoint to past topics? or extend your field by combining side topics with your background?
(I need some real examples!)
A lot more information is necessary to adequately answer the question. What kind of research? Why no progress---is there not enough past information/data, are you using technical tools which are not working or are giving you data which contradicts your theory, you are not taking adequate measurements? Is the absence of data because of lack of computer/library resources, or are you the first in the field? Etc.
You have to deal with boredom, which is low psychological energy, and reframe the situation so you become more enthusiastic about the research
