Open dialogue and share in a way that frames the narrative as highlights of the problem-solving process and the steps necessary to overcome the challenge or failure. Storytelling as a case study is interesting and they could reflect on how they could approach the problem or setback.
This reminds me of a great example when well-known William LeMessurier, the structural engineer of Citicorp Center - skycraper in NY, tells about how he was approached by an architectural student concerning a design flaw that could cause the collapse of the building.
