Beam is modelled in Ansys and the eigenbuckling is carried out. the beam is modelled using thin shell elements and is subjected to several loads like vertical loada and moments and other type of loads..In this case,should the factor corresponds to eigenbuckling analysis output be applied to all the loads applied to find out the critial buckling load?
The answer to your question Satyen is yes. You are applying a load vector to your model and the eigenvalue from the buckling analysis should be applied to the complete vector. If you want to check this statement then, once you have the load factor for a particular load vector then simply scale up all the loads with the load factor and run the analysis again. The load factor this time should be unity. Hope that helps.
As far as I know, the buckling analysis in most available codes is performed under the assumption that all loads applied to a structure are proportional to one loading parameter. The case of two or more parameter loadings is another, more complicated, story.
