Surely a low boiling point solvent, miscible with water or duterium oxide, e.g. methanol or acetone could be used to wash / clean NMR tubes using a NMR tube cleaner? After washing leave tube in a drying oven at ~40 oC or higher, to remove residual solvent?
Simply just use the NMR Tube Washing Apparatus and wash with Water, Acetone, Water and again acetone. Dry in Oven in upside down position for overnight at 90-100 Degrees. It will be cleaned.
In my experience, I fill the NMR tube completely with acetone and allow for 1 hour and then rinse it with distilled water 3 to 4 times. Finally dry in oven for overnight around 100 degrees.
