I am looking the postgraduate research topics in computer science domain (specifically information security, cyber security, computer forensic but not limited) that follows the qualitative research approach to conduct survey, collect data and perform analysis using simulations tools instead of being implement the full system using hard coding.

Yes. There is a way. In our most recent exploratory project, we used Qualtrics (a robust survey platform), IBM Watson systems (with pre-made visual tools) and associated sample codes. Programming will be required and it's minimal in a sense that starting code base was pre-made, most data annotations can be done via visual tools, and core machine learning models are already there (Watson). IBM may give students free access to their products for free for 6 months. Your school may have bulk licensing with Qualtrics that allows you free access.

I will opine to what Han Ping Fung has said. He highlighted the first step to take, and he also clarified the distinction between qualitative and quantitative research methods. I would suggest, like Han Ping Fung suggested, clarify your research problem first. Afterwards, the method of solutioning can be ascertained. Until then, the logic of qualitative and quantitative can be decided.
