I am doing subcellular fractionation of nucleus, cytosol, mitochondria. To verify equal loading of lysates what loading control can be used?
In my lab we use for mitochondria: MRPL12, CLPP
cytoplasm: GAPDH, calnexin
nucleus: Histone (?)
I want to check whether the loading of lysates from each fraction are equal.
Is there any common protein that is expressed in all the fractions?
Hi Cornelius
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
I also think this is not possible. But I was asked this question. Thats why I was wondering what opinion of other researchers is.
I think we can only understand the localization by analyzing the loading controls of specific subcellular fractions.
kindly reply me. Thanking you in advance.
