Extraction by grinding fine powder from the leaves or the whole plant followed by sonication is a rapid technique compared to maceration (which lasts several hours or even days). The extract is then centrifuged, and the supernatant is recovered and then subjected to vacuum drying (preferably). The resulting solid extract will be taken up with the chosen volume of water.
