Blind equalization algorithms such as Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA) are used to compensate for signal distortion attributed to Intersymbol Interference (ISI) without resorting to training sequence. In QAM signal demodulators, the highest computational load is derived from equalization part. In the process of QAM demodulation, the equalizer’s design is of special importance because it absorbs a large portion of the computation complexity required in the receiver setup.
