Buddolla Viswanath Blood ( Convalescent Plasma ) therapy is available (blood from a recovered COVID-19 patient). There have been several cases it was used to treat a critical patient and obtained good results. In the US, blood donation centers are setting up for volunteers (with the antibody) to donate their plasma. However, blood therapy has not widely used yet, probably due to limited donations. We need more donors.
"Thousands of Orthodox Jewish New Yorkers donate plasma to fight coronavirus"
Thousands of Orthodox Jewish New Yorkers who have recovered from the coronavirus are now stepping up to donate potentially life-saving blood plasma to help fight the illness, according to a new report.
Plasma transfer from recovered persons to patients. Trials by hydroxychloroquinine is useful and drinking of tonic water, one cup everyday is also protective. The nucleotide analogue Remidisivir is under investigation and will be used soon.
No proven treatment for COVID-19 recommended by WHO, CDC, NIH until results of SOLIDARITY study. Convalescent plasma holds promise.
There is no proven treatment recommended by WHO, CDC, or NIH for COVID-19. However, results of WHO SOLIDARITY study including many countries will provide the answer.
Small studies using of Convalescent plasma from recovered patients with COVID-19 has shown promising results. Many other local herbs and convalescent plasma is also being used by many countries.
I think our colleagues are already mentioned that supposed to do for the specific therapies available to treat COVID-19. Thanks to all, and kind regards.
Article Use of product labels to investigate the treatment of Covid-...
It has been suggested that ingestion of disinfectants may be beneficial to treat patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. DO NOT DO THIS. IT IS HARMFUL TO HUMAN HEALTH.
The above article may be of interest and provide some light relief.
There are no drugs or other therapeutics approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to prevent or treat COVID-19. Current clinical management includes infection prevention and control measures and supportive care, including supplemental oxygen and mechanical ventilatory support when indicated : Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are oral prescription drugs that have been used for treatment of malaria and certain inflammatory conditions and REMDESIVIR is an investigational intravenous drug with broad antiviral activity that inhibits viral replication through premature termination of RNA transcription, and has in-vitro activity against SARS-CoV-2 and in-vitro and in-vivo activity against related beta coronaviruses.
There is no douoblt that the nature of IFN-gamma is antiviral cytokine.
The only thing is to confirm how much it is effective in viral respiratory infection and viremia.
The duration and dosage is also important.
I used IFN-gamma for several decades in allergic diseases. During the treatment of alleric disease, the frequency of URI is dramatically decreased. Merely, it was not the focus of my article at that time.
At least, a part of patients who will die may become alive with IFN-gamma therapy..
Dear all, There are some herbal preparations that can be used to control the replication of the virus when the virus is in Nasopharynx and Oropharynx. Those preparations help to control the severity of the disease and enhance cellular immunity too. Here especially using several types of Gareling methods and medicated steam inhalation too. Then that the heat of the steam will help to destroy the virus and the herbs will increase the throat pH level that will control the virus replication too.
Hello all!!! There is no clinical or therapeutics drugs are approved by US FDA to prevent/ recover COVID 19. The supportive care and infection control are the only therapeutic management so far. The droplet/ airborne/ universal precautions are maintained to be safe and protect. The clinical trials and vaccine production of the disease is going on. Herbal and home remedies are using to enhance the immunity. The herbs are used to treat some other respiratory infections may use for COVID to try and protect like steam, ginger, etc. even though it’s not proven to have the same safe effects.
In my opinion, Nanomaterials may be able to deactivate the structure of corona virus due to the similar size of Corona virus. Spinel nanomaterials (specially cubic ferrite) may be potential candidate in the preparation of vaccine. There specific nanomagnetic field can destroy the structure of covid19 and increase the rate of inactivation of corona virus.
In my RG open question about the dramatic situation of Lombardia (N.Italy)
I propose the test of the natural compounds from Artemisia, according to previous extensive bibliographical reviews about toxic effect in potential biocontrol.
I hope this is useful.

I can see that the number of patients who have recovered has increased and the need for intubation has been decreasing until now.
We have seen that Tocilizumab treatment delays intubation period especially for patients who have not yet intubated.
We had an extubated patient to whom we applied Anankinra treatment. There was no need for intubation after the treatment process and treatment.
I think that second-line treatments are important and should be applied early in order to stabilize the cytokine storm and prevent the development of the ARDS table.
Plasma from people who got the covid19, fully recovered, and developed high antibody titer is currently turning to be the most efficient and promising treatment.
Unfortunately, till now, there are no clear and strong RCTs that have shown clear positive effects and a lot of studies are being planned. The UK Recovery trial will hopefully shed light on a lot of this, as it has recruited thousands of patients to its various arms.
Unfortunately, is no COVID-19-specific therapeutic approved by the FDA or EMA. There are many substances under investigation, and two - chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have an emergency use authorization by the FDA. We have been compiling the data about various substances tested against SARS-CoV-2, you can check it at https://covid19-help.org/
Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are oral prescription drugs and azathromycene and some of countries are used the drug Remidisivir, that have been used for treatment
Medical therapy based on blood plasma containing antibodies to the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (causing Covid-19 disease) pandemic is currently being used in many countries. the plasma with the antibody produced is taken from a person who has recovered from Covid-19 disease and is administered to a person who has been infected with SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus and has symptoms of Covid-19 disease.
Along with plasma therapy I would include stem cell therapy which is in trial in Israel and the USA for the cure of COVID-19. Of the two therapies, risk with plasma therapy is lesser but with higher expectancy.
Plasma from infected people who become healthy is approved to be used as a successful treatment for SARS-COVID19 virus.Other therapies such as quinine derivatives or natural agents just suppress but not treatment agents. A vaccine developed will be a nice treatment weapon for humanity.
All drugs for prophylaxis and treatment, plasma, etc should be used under controlled settings and ideally as a part of trial to generate more evidence.
I also agree with you - It may be plasma -therapy https://www.indiatvnews.com/news/india/covid-19-plasma-therapy-clinical-trial-kolkata-617754
and Second one is drugless therapy - https://www.researchgate.net/post/How_Drugless_therapy_helps_us_to_Improve_our_health_as_well_as_to_prevent_Viral_attack
We conducted small, preliminary studies on chicken coronavirus. Our hypothesis is that coronaviruses accumulate in the intestines. Coronaviruses enter the lungs with blood. Perhaps the role of reproduction of coronaviruses in the lungs is not as great as is commonly believed. In chickens, the use of substances with virocidal activity prevented lung damage. We used virocidal substances not absorbed from the intestines. This indirectly confirms our hypothesis. The sympotomes observed with CAVID 19 also do not contradict our hypothesis. Perhaps treatment with virocidal drugs that reduce the viral load in the intestine can also be promising.
Antiviral and immunomodulatory herbal treatment are helpful to control the disease. Most of the Sri lankan patients are successfully controlled COVID 19 specially with the help of our traditional herbal medicine
Quercetin seems to work quite well. I'm now using it for both prophylaxis as well as treatment. As prophylaxis, it has worked for 2 months in about 200 patients.
Every day,we hear about certain medications everywhere. Last of them ,vaccine from Oxford University and Vivavir drug from Russia.Plasma injection of covid-19 patients from healthy people approved in certain countries and did not in many countries.Really, it is a great challenge and hope to find in markets certain drug approved to treat covid-19.
Though symptomatic treatment is the most commonly suggested measure against COVID-19; Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab, Dexamethasone have some proven benefits. Oxygen inhalation in adequate dose is the most important lifesaver.
Till now there is no specific treatment of COVID-19 disease. However, some promising looking drugs are still under clinical trials such as- (1) Remdesivir- an intravenous antiviral drug, (2) Lopinavir/ritonavir- can enhance the natural defenses of the body's cells, (3) Chloroquine- blocks viruses including SARS-CoV-2, but may also block immune response, and (4) using convalescent sera from persons who have recovered from COVID-19.
